![]() ![]() A military organization called the Alpha Section appears to be keeping the DomZ attacks at bay, but they don't seem to be doing a very good job. The peace of this planet was shattered not long ago, when mysterious alien monsters called the DomZ invaded this part of the galaxy, striking in surprise attacks, and kidnapping people away to who-knows-where. In a distant star system, presumably, sometime in the future, there is a peaceful mining planet named Hillys. It's nowhere near as interactive as the environment or abilities would lead you to believe either: lots of red barrels and gas canisters lying around seem like they're meant to be explosive, but in fact aren't and can't even be thrown around."Expose the conspiracy. Because of how quickly enemies can respawn and be repaired by the small helicopter drones, there's little point in fighting groups of robots unless you absolutely need something nearby or cannot progress otherwise. He hated the combat, especially when in the overworld. He enjoys the gameplay though, and it ran pretty well on his PC hardware. ![]() Turning on the Russian voices for a more authentic experience is an option, but given the rapid pace of the gameplay, constant dialogue, and small fonts, it quickly becomes impractical. Gman Lives Found the dialogue cringey, with some odd inconsistencies or signs that more than a couple of script editors went through making changes yet didn't communicate with each other. ![]() One consistent complaint is the melee combat, which is both too floaty and because of the first person perspective has problems with accurately gauging the effective distance of both yours and enemy attacks. You can literally just walk over a couple of lakes and bodies of water, and you won't even see any water ripples reacting to your presence. Oh, and the water is uniquely terrible - like, a good chunk of it is basically just a solid texture that doesn't even respond to your presence in any way. ![]() We're starting to get some detailed reviews.Ĭonsensus is that it really wants to be this fast-paced action RPG inspired by immersive sims such as Bioshock or Dishonored, but never comes quite close due to all sorts of little nit-picks and a few frustrating glitches. ![]()
